If any of you are going, I'll.. I'll find a way to identify myself so if you spot me, you know it's me (and don't be scared to come and say hi!)
Oh, and courtesy of Kachookee from the busted.com boards, you can find lyrics to Ticket Outta Loserville here. Corrections are welcome, as you can see there is one bit that hasn't been figured out.

So to start us off today, Tian has sent me an audio of Eddie's Song live (with lots of screaming in the first minute, but when they're actually playing the song, you can hear it not too badly), so you can listen to that HERE - but if your computer doesn't like megaupload, then download it here (right click and save target as)!! :-D A couple of people have offered videos as well, plus more pictures. I love you alllll, I really do. <3
First video! It's most of Ticket Outta Loserville, up until the 'sad part'. Huge huge thank you to Kerry for this!!
DOWNLOAD!
Click here ONLY if the above link doesn't work for you because this one has limited downloads.
Oh yes, and James is in The Sun today, apparently he's going car-searching, and has his eyes set on a DeLoreon (used in the Back To The Future films). You can read the article here, and there is also a scan here (thank you to Reenee for the bigger scan!).
There is another picture of James with the car here, thank you to Emma and Stacey for that. :-)
Aaaaand on top of that, Sarah has found pictures of that Charlie lookalike. That is bloody weird.

HYPERHYPERHYPER. I've added to the Son Of Dork pictures page (about to update it again, but I'm FAR too hyped up to do it right now hahahahaaa omg), thanks to everyone who's contributed so far! All appropriate credit has been given, keep 'em coming! Any pictures/videos/audios from today would be highly appreciated as well.
Apparently Son Of Dork were one of the few bands to play live at PITP yesterday, but during Ticket Outta Loserville, Dave's guitar went a bit odd and he had to get it fixed in the middle of the song haha - and if you look at one of the pictures on the page, you can see that. Apparently the other song they performed was called something like Eddie's Song, and the lyrics are like (according to Gemma on the busted.com boards) 'Eddie's got 27 kids and he won't be around to see any of them grow up', hahaha oish.

ODFMGSDOFJSKDJSKJGSDKJDK SON OF DORK PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!! *teenie squeal* I've been sent a few from Hannah as well (thanking yee!), so I've put all Son Of Dork pictures here for you all to view! Wahey! To the person who was downright rude regarding pictures/audio clips (you know who you are), I always try to give people credit where I can, and if I didn't with you, then I'm really sorry. <3 If you don't want to send your pictures and audio clips, then fine (although then there wasn't much point in saying anything in the form in the first place :-p), but if you do, I will give you full credit. ;-)
The band apparently got a really good reception, they played two songs, but haven't been played on the radio yet, hmm. However, Kachookee from the busted.com boards has uploaded a small audio clip of the set, but it was recorded from her phone, so it's not good quality, you can sort of hear the song in some parts though - click here to download that (when the page has loaded, wait until it's counted down the seconds and then click on the download button). She's also got a clip of James talking about the show (very short) here. Thanks for those! Hehe.

Left-right: Dave Williams, Chris (Leonard? I thought it was, but it doesn't look much like the guitarist on the Busted Live DVD, does it), Steve Rushton, James Bourne, Danny Hall

Charlie was also on radio 1 earlier, on Sara Cox's show, saying that he's much happier now, and he also said that he's been in touch with both Matt and James recently, which is good!
Also, I have a request. If any of you are attending PITP tomorrow, I would really appreciate it if you could take any pictures, videos, reviews, ANYTHING about Son Of Dork. Full credit will be given, of course. :-D
I'm so excited, don't forget to go on Fox FM tomorrow and listen live from about midday! The show kicks off then, and SoD are on second.

Please vote? :-) I probably have no hope of winning, but I thought I might as well enter lol.

Hey Guys!
I know it's been ages since we've spoken so I hope you're all cool! So here I am, new record deal, new band and mental busy! I signed my new record deal last week, which was an amazing feeling. When I signed my first deal with Busted I didn't think I'd be signing a new one 3 years later with my new band - SON OF DORK.
We're all in the studio at the moment finishing off the album, which seriously rocks! It's kinda hard to describe the sound but I think it's somewhere between what Busted's next album would have sounded like and Green Day!!
The first single is a track called 'Ticket Outta Loserville' and it'll be in the shops on 7th November. Make sure you're ready!
Our new SON OF DORK website will be up soon, I'll keep you posted.
James
There's a Fightstar gig review that mentions some new tracks here (thanks to Emma for sending that). It has mentioned Won't Waste The Moment, Brand New Unification Part One and Here Again.. although they only mention the last two as new tracks, so either I've missed something, they didn't realise it was a new track, or they got the name wrong. I can't wait to hear them all, though! In other Fightstar news, they were beaten by Bullet For My Valentine in Best British Newcomer at this year's Kerrang! Awards.
Sarah also sent me an article from The Sun about Son Of Dork, it's nothing we haven't heard before, though. Click here to read it, anyway.
And finally, hope all the GCSE-ers got the results they wanted!

Shame about Dudefish, but good luck to the other members and good luck to Ben with finding a suitable band. :-)

In Busted news of sorts, Matt was spotted in Glasgow last Sunday. Random, but yes.

ABERDEENABERDEEN!!!!!! I am so going. That's a bit teenybopper-like, isn't it. :-( They'd better be good, haha.

Cat has let me know about more Daily Star articles. Apparently Camilla has moved out of Charlie's house, hmmm. I don't know what's going on between them to be honest, because people claim he said at signings that they were engaged. I hope they haven't split up though, cause they make a lovely couple. Anyway, today there is a bit about James:-
BOURNE AGAIN STAR: WHY JAMES FELT LIKE GIVING UP
James Bourne nearly quit his pop career when a bunch of bozos auditioned for his new post-Busted band. The sharp pop songwriter found it harder than he expected to track down musicians able to match the skills of old pals Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson. So much that Jimmy B felt like throwing in the towel.
James confessed: 'I wasn't going to do another band. It's hard because I never thought I'd find the right people. Lots of really bad musicians turned up and I thought oh no, this isn't going to happen. Perseverence paid off in the end and James, who will sing and play guitar and piano with his new outfit, signed up a bassist, drummer and two guitarists.
He continued: 'I've got a really good group and we're excited about the future.' While they're still to pick a name, James and his new chums have signed a deal with Mercury after their former A&R bloke and Popstars judge Paul Adam shifted there from Universal. James, 21, admitted: 'Coming up with the name is the hardest part. I've had a few embarassing ideas.' They need to get a wriggle on, their first gig is in Oxford on August 28. Jimbo added: 'The sound is Busted but a bit harder and rockier. I still get to jump around.'
I wonder if one of the self-proclaimed 'embarrassing' ideas is Son Of Dork haha, ah well, looks like they still haven't got a name. There's a similar article on the TOTP website as well.
Oh yeah, and I've changed the songs on the non-Busted radio; enjoy. :-)

Anyway, I'm not sure what's going on with Son Of Dork. Their myspace has gone blank and is now called 'Beetroot' hahahah, so hopefully they're having second thoughts about the name (no, they're not called Beetroot as far as I know lol, that's probably a temporary thing). By the way, for those who thought it's a fake myspace - it's not, because Si said so. And as Si knows the band, what he says goes. ;-)
Myah went to see Superkicks (Matt's brother Darren's band) last night and she met Matt's sister, Amanda, who told her that Matt is in Belgium, apparently recording Oo.
| 05.08.05 |
And then things went from bad to worse, as Verona announced that James's band have changed their mind and are now called Son Of Dork.
Anyone and everyone who knows them - call them bloody sods and make them change their minds again. Please. :-(
However, although they don't have a website up and running yet, you can visit their myspace which says that their single, Ticket Outta Loserville, is out on November 7th, with their album to follow a few weeks later. They will also be playing Liverpool's PITP on August 29th as well as Oxford. You can read their influences as well, quite interesting - very diverse.

Oh my effing love!!!!!!
Anyone know if that's true? Excitement aside, a lot of people don't think it is, but in a way, I think most people are being too pessimistic by assuming straight away that it can't be true. It is a believable story, but I'm not sure whether it should actually be believed.
To be honest, I don't see why it shouldn't happen. Sure, Charlie wants to move on from Busted, but I do also think he would be willing to do a song for that cause (even though he doesn't seem that happy about it, assuming it is true).
Another point brought up by many people - HANSON?! I've just listened to the song and it's really good. You can download a version of it (not Hanson's but it's still great) here.
I'm just going to wait for someone to speak to the boys themselves. I do hope it's true, though.

Oh yeah, my friend Clare sent me a short article from a magazine about James. It basically said he asked his manager to set him up with a model, but the model wanted James to talk to her himself, which he did ('giggling like a schoolboy' HAHA you can imagine him, can't you). But he wanted to leave the club to avoid getting their photos taken, at which point she ditched him. Nice.

And I didn't upload those Sleeping With The Light On mp3s, did I?
Thanks to Michelle for letting me know about this: CD:UK have spoken to James, and they've got a bit of information here! Ooh, the excitement.
