I've FINALLY been able to get to a shop (haven't seen one of those for nearly 2 weeks, can you believe it?!) and buy a copy of Smash Hits. So the full results:
Busted won Best Band In The World Ever, beating Westlife, Blue, Atomic Kitten and Girls Aloud hehe.
They won Best UK Band against Blue, Girls Aloud, Liberty X and Atomic Kitten.
They also scooped the award for Best Album with their debut self-titled Busted, which beat Gareth (Go Your Own Way), Westlife (Unbreakable), Justin (Justified) and Blue (One Love).
Matt picked up Top Pop Mop thanks to his hairstyles! He beat Gareth, Duncan from Blue, Nicky from Westlife and Charlie, who came 5th.
And finally, their Stars Of The Year award put them ahead of Gareth, Westlife, Justin and Beyonce! Good going, guys!
They also almost won some other awards.. Charlie came 3rd in Best Dressed Male, beaten by Gareth and winner Duncan from Blue.
Meanwhile, the boys also got 3rd in.. er.. Best Rock Act. Yes, rock. LOL dammit people, they are NOT a rock band!! Anyway, ahead of them were the Darkness and Good Charlotte *dances* Three favourite bands. In a row. WAHEY!
What else? Most Fanciable Male.. Matt came 4th with Charlie at his heels in 5th (WHERE'S JAMES?!?! bet he was 6th..). Anyway, they were beaten by Shane from Westlife, Gareth and of course Justin.
In Hot New Talent, they came 2nd, just being thrown off the top spot by Girls Aloud.
They also came 2nd in Best Music Video with You Said No, the winner being Beyonce's Crazy In Love.
Lastly, they came 3rd (You Said No) and 5th (Sleeping With The Light On) in Best Single.

And that's just the Smash Hits awards! An update on the TOTP awards - Charlie (or should I say, "Sir" Charlie Simpson, as they say on the site!) came second in Pop Posho, only being beaten by Sophie Ellis Bextor haha!

If you've not got a computer at home, this lovingly crafted shrine to Mattie, James and Charlie could literally be what you go to school for (see what we did there?). And you'll still find it a wondrous place to be if you stay there until you reach year 3000. And it's so well made it won't crash, (or burn) even at a wedding. Er, hang on...Oh yes! When we asked if you'd rather get your Busted goss anywhere else, you said no!

Charlie also came 4th in Most Buff Bloke, being beaten off the top spot by Will Young, Duncan from Blue and of course the mighty Justin Timberlake (you know, I don't really understand what people see in him, but eh *shoot me*). Hehe in Band of the Year, Busted came 2nd next to Blue.. close though! GOOD CHARLOTTE CAME 3RD *dances*.. hahaha oh my. What I don't understand though, is why did Busted get in the 'nowhere near' in Most Gorge Girl (I mean why were they nominated, not why didn't they win it LMAO!), and 'Best Newcomer' (James). Did you all watch CDUK this morning? They performed Hark! The Herald Angels Sing! I missed the first five minutes of the show, which of course was when Busted HAD to be on :-| so if you missed it as well, watch the repeat later at.. 2.55am I think lmao.

They've also confirmed more dates for next summer. They are as follows:

Anyway, I'm pleased to say that Busted have won FIVEEE (yes, FIVE) Smash Hits Awards this year - three of those are Best UK Band, Best Album, and.. *drum roll* Best Band In The World Ever - how fkn wicked is that?!?!!? Best ever! hehehe!!

Seems they're pretty popular here as well, since their songs came on at the dance a few times tonight and EVERYONE went friggin ballistic LMAO!

And wasn't the Busted special on Popworld wicked?! And it gets better. There are still TWO more parts, each half an hour long - they're going to be on at 10.25 - 10.55am on Tuesday and Wednesday! Yes, its annoying because there's such a thing as school at that time, but there is also such a thing as a VCR, so don't forget to set the timers!!!

Did you all watch Busted on TOTP Saturday yesterday? They were doing On The Spot, and they also performed Crashed The Wedding acoustic, as well as going in the karaoke booth to sing (erm, "sing"?) Shut Up by Black Eyed Peas, along with Fast Food Rockers, Liberty X and Sugababes! Busted were by far the funniest I think, what with Charlie putting on a stupid voice.. I'll get that recorded some time if you missed it.

Anyway, you can also catch the boys today at 12.50pm for a fantastic ONE HOUR Busted Popworld special!!! And then again at 3.50-5.55pm, they will be performing at the Popworld Xmas concert, so do NOT miss it!!

Oh wow, today in art, we got to listen to the radio, and Crashed The Wedding JUST finished.. but then it said 'and now with an exclusive interview in the live lounge, we've got Busted!' and it had a little interview with them AND they performed an EXCLUSIVE acoustic version of Last Christmas!! I'm gonna TRY TRY TRY my best to find those so you lot can hear it if you missed it!

So what did they say, I hear you ask? Well Matt said the highlight of the year was definitely touring and knowing that people who like the music actually bought tickets to see them live. I think it was James who said he's going to Colorado in a few weeks hehe, and.. I can't remember what else. I must find it.

On my search for it, I found on the radio one site, some stuff about the boys. Apparently Matt's friend, after seeing the Crashed The Wedding video, phoned him up and said 'you could have got a fitter bride for the video!' to which Matt replied 'er, I was the bride..' LMAO his friend apparently couldn't believe it hahaha! He also went for a drink with Michelle (the teacher he had a crush on) after seeing her on the Frank Skinner Show - but he says there's no chance of them getting together because she's married. And as for CHARLIE, well isn't he a posh boy?! He was invited to go to the royal Rugby World Cup winners' homecoming party last Monday! Mind you, with him being ill.. :-s

Ooh I've had a bit of news in the form! Thank you to Hannah for telling me that Busted will be performing a cover of the Undertones - Teenage Kicks, at next year's Brit Awards!

Someone also said that James was asked to a "private party" in a dressing room by a dancer, but he turned her down because he wanted to party with his family - bless him!!

Other news.. there's a bit of discussion about the band's next single. First I heard they're releasing Air Hostess on 2nd February 2004, but now I've just heard that Who's David is going to be released on February 16th! I will inform you all of any more news about it that I hear though.

A Present For Everyone has gone, within eleven days of being released, has gone.. not gold, not platinum, but DOUBLE PLATINUM!!!!! ELEVEN days!! Wooo a HUGE well done to the boys! On the subject of the album, it is currently at number 4 in the UK charts, while Crashed The Wedding has dropped four places to no.12.

There is also going to be something called Sleeping Beauty Uncovered on Monday December 22nd.. I'm not sure quite what it is, it was described as 'a fairytale in a way you've never seen it before' or something, but anyway, I was watching an advert for it, which was playing Crashed The Wedding in the background.. so yepp, you've guessed it, Busted make an appearance in it! So watch out for them in that hehe, should be good.
