Angry fans gig threat
Charlie Simpson is stepping up his security after I tipped him off about a planned attack.
The singer, 19, is being targeted by furious Busted fans who blame him for splitting up the band.
A collection of these sad individuals are trying to organise a paint attack on Charlie when he plays a Sheffield gig with new band Fightstar next week.
But thanks to my intervention, Charlie's calling in extra heavies to make sure any would-be assailants are dealt with swiftly and, no doubt, harshly.
A spokeswoman said: "As a result of your tip-off, we will ensure security is aware."
One of the idiots phoned me to boast about the plan and said they'd been using chatrooms.
He told me: "We'll get Charlie in Sheffield. Lots of us feel like that. We'll make him sorry."
A quick glance at bustedonline.org shows others are in on the plan.
One post reads: "On the 28th he's getting ambushed. It'll be funny, though I'm not taking part. I'm just gonna watch."
Look kids, Charlie gave you and Busted years of his life. Now he's moved on so should you.
Now, can I just point out that the quote is in fact NOT from here? It is from a conversation I had with my friend on MSN (she's the one who said that.. in text speak, may I add haha), and I posted it on the Fightstar forums as a warning. It just goes to show how much sh*t the papers make up.

MATT MAY GO SOLO MATT WILLIS has given his first interview since busted split and told me 'it's a bit like a holiday'. The star says he is enjoying life after the boyband but admitted he was a bit 'shell shocked'. Talking at the world unite appeal for the tsunami victims Matt said 'it's just taken a bit of time to adjust'. Matt who was back with his girlfriend Emma Griffiths after teasing us by holding hands with Emma's publicist said 'I am enjoying having time to myself. I am still trying to work out what I want to do. I just want to take my time and think things through.' I exclusively revealed Busted were to split earlier this month after Charlie Simpson walked out. Charlie, the bands heart throb quit to go on the road with his rock band Fightstar. Matt added 'The thought of going solo is a bit scary but it is something I am considering I am doing a bit of writing as well so who knows what will happen!'

Rumours. And another one: Charlie supposedly hit someone after she tried to attack him for splitting Busted up, and he's now facing a fine. And another one: Matt and James have moved in together. Yeah, right. Just so you know, James is looking for a new house (possibly rumour, but I think it's true) and Matt's living with Rob Solly from Johnny Panic (which is definitely true, unless one of them has moved). I think that's one of the reasons he's such a big fan of them - and if you notice, he thanks Rob/JP in both albums.
AND ANOTHER ONE *finishes Year 3000 parody*: They're going to do a duet at the end of this year.
Hell, let's throw in another one. Matt and James are supposedly meeting up with Playboy girls they met in America, called Vicky and Clare.
*screams* I'm going to go hibernate for a few years and maybe the rush of rumours will be ending then.

Oo. Rumours are going again, as usual. Apparently Kara cheated on James with CHARLIE, which caused arguments which led to the split. I think this is bollocks - Charlie seems to love Camilla too much to cheat on her.
And if you believe rumours, then Matt's girlfriend/ex-girlfriend/whatever she is currently, was spotted canoodling backstage at a Green Day gig with TRE COOL. Although this rumour has been changed to Fearne Cotton. Fearne and Tre, not Fearne and Emma. Hahaha. Oh, and Matt and James are hitting on fans (and James was 'seen getting off with four girls in one night'), and Charlie used to beat Camilla up, and fonk knows what else. Why can't people just leave them alone? I'm sick of these rumours.

Matt will be co-hosting the People For The People fundraiser at Hammersmith Palias tomorrow, and he and James will supposedly be doing a duet, although it says nothing about it on the flyers, unless it's a surprise or something. Apparently it's strictly over 18s (don't know if that bit's true though), tickets are £10.

MTV has been showing a clip of Fightstar's debut video for Palahnuik's Laughter, it's been sent to MTV2, so expect to see it on there soon.
I'm not sure what to do about Fightstar updates, because while I want this to track Matt, James AND Charlie, I also co-run a fansite with my friend, Jen. So if you want Fightstar news, go there. I'll probably only put important Fightstar info on here, and I might add their tour dates to the schedule page as well.

Okay, I think we have this thing sorted out, what we're doing for Busted. We were going to do Sleeping With The Light On, but apparently it's been changed to What I Go To School For.
We'll buy as many copies of the single as we can ON THE WEEK STARTING FEBRUARY 14th.. the plan's supposed to be to get it to no.1, but you know as well as I do that it's impossible, but even the top 40 will be great. Obviously the main question is - is it even still available? You can buy it from HMV, and there are probably stores that sell older singles, so watch out for those. If you live abroad, don't worry - you can help out too. Order it online from HMV.co.uk or woolworths.co.uk (NOT Amazon because I've been told by a few people that it doesn't count). Just don't buy it before February 14th. I will be giving more info soon - links to buy it and such. Promote on message boards etc as much as you can though, I'll make some promo icons, and you can make some flyers as well. I think if it gets into the top 40, the boys will be very proud of what we've done for them. :-D It'll be an original way of saying thanks for everything they've done.
Besides that, think of what Wes will say on the chart show! HAHA he'll be flabbergasted to say the least. I can imagine it now.. 'what the HELL is going on here?! This was released in 2002, and now, just over a month after they've split, Busted are back in our charts!' Haha. <3 It will be classic.
ONLY BUY IT FEBRUARY 14TH - 19TH. That way, if we all buy it in the same week, it has more chance of doing well. And if we get as many people as we can to do it, it may be more successful that we think. It's an ambitious idea, but if we all work together, it may well work.
We also have word from Damon, the drummer! Verona from bustedspain.com has been talking to him, and he's revealed that Matt is working on a SOLO ALBUM, and James is trying to get together a new band. *dies* It's all so exciting hehe.
Oh, and I've just spent the best part of six bloomin' hours answering ALL the questions. I've split them into several sections haha.

Everything seems to be going wrong lately - first the split, then the rumours about Matt being cheated on (which I don't know the truth about yet) and James being dumped (which is apparently true), then Matt's brother's band decided to split last week, and now that! Bloody hell.
On a lighter note, thanks to Thania for telling me that MTV Asia will be airing America or Busted on 24th February at 9.30pm (Singapore time). :-)

Every magazine is going to feature Busted I think. There's a two page spread in Now, they're going to be in next week's Sneak, Bliss, Smash Hits, TOTP and It's Hot.. I don't know about any others yet haha.

It has been suggested that the fans should give THEM something. We're planning what it could be, but as soon as we've made a final decision, I will notify you about it. It will probably involve buying a past single (and if you live abroad, fear not, because Amazon can hopefully save the day haha). We'll see what we can do.

Poor Charlie. As much as you might be mad at him, you've got to admit he's got guts to quit the biggest pop band in the country to be in a band where he's more passionate about the music. But since the split, he's had two Fightstar gigs. So far, he's been hit in the eye by an egg, almost hit by plastic bottles, and been hit by.. wait for it.. an Action Man covered in red paint. Random, or what haha.
In other rather random news, Darius was on Smile yesterday, and he said he's gutted that Busted split. He then performed a song he wrote in tribute of them. Oo. I am yet to hear it, but my friend is letting me borrow the tape, so I'll record it onto the computer. :-)
In even more random news, Wayne Rooney's team mates, as reported by The Sun, have been teasing him about the whole Busted thing.
There's been a lot of talk about Matt and James finishing the third album. Lettuce pray. :-)

Obviously I am really devastated by the news. For the past two and a half years, I have supported the boys as much as I can by promoting them, maintaining this site, buying every single and album etc etc. For the band to suddenly say goodbye like this has hurt a lot, especially when I was looking forward so much to their next album. Which, by the way, is half written, so I do wonder what they'll do with the songs.
The past three years for the boys have been absolutely incredible. Charlie joined in October 2001 (31st, I believe) and the band were signed in March 2002. They've sold two multi-platinum albums, notched up 4 number ones in the UK (and several around the world), won two Brit awards, sold out 49 arenas on their two headline tours (excluding the charity gig) plus a theatre tour, took part in Band Aid, won many many awards, and if I list all their successes, I'll be here all day. Overall, they have established themselves as one of the biggest British pop acts, appealing to a wide audience.
It is such a shame that it has had to come to this, and some say that it's good that they left on a high, but they weren't about to flop anyway, so I think that's untrue.
What I don't understand is WHY they split up. They've denied it until now, and things really started when Charlie's interview was printed in Kerrang. A lot of people spotted the fact he said 'IF' he had to choose, he'd choose Fightstar. What I don't understand is WHY he had to choose in the first place. I expected him to at least wait until the Fightstar tour is over before he made a decision. I may be biased (although I've heard Busted haters say the same thing as this) but I think Charlie's made a bad decision. If he was unhappy, then fair enough, but he kept insisting that he was happy and couldn't wait to get back in the studio, so if that was all a lie, then grr.
To be honest, Charlie has annoyed me. He's annoyed a lot of people, but many (including me) have stuck up for him every time. But after seeing James and Matt's faces at the press conference, all I could think was, 'Charlie, how could you DO that to your best friends?' Outside the press conference, crying fans waited for the band to emerge. And do you know what Charlie did? He LAUGHED at them. Now, I don't care if he likes or dislikes Busted or their fans, the fact is, they respected him, and he laughed in their face after what he did. That was completely out of order. Later, the same fans went to the Fightstar gig in Warwick Uni (for genuine reasons, not to attack Charlie or whatever), and he got them chucked out simply because he recognised them as Busted fans. If he's going to have that sort of attitude, then I think that, as much as I like Fightstar, they're not going to do well.
(Please note that the above was told by my friend who is friends with the said fans, so I'm going by her word. The gig bit, I'm pretty sure is true.)
James and Matt have no idea what to do, Matt apparently got completely drunk last night because he can't cope with the idea that Busted are over, and James refuses to speak to anyone other than Kara, according to Dougie from McFly. Again, I don't know if this is definitely true, but I feel so sorry for the boys, and I hope that all their futures turn out well.

I didn't really (and still don't) see any good reason for Busted to split up, because Charlie insisted that he'd only leave if he had to choose, and I don't see any reason why he'd have to. Like many Busted fans, I'm absolutely devastated about the news, and your f*ckarse comments aren't helping.

This is blatantly untrue - the 'close source' says that Busted have never been good mates and they were put together, which immediately makes that article a pile of shit. I wasn't going to bother putting it on here but if other people find it, then they'd probably get all worked up over nothing.

Anyway, you don't want to hear about that. I just went on the Brits website, and I'm sorry but WHAT is going on? The only decent artists nominated are Franz Ferdinand, Muse, Green Day, Keane and Snow Patrol.. oh, and the Libertines and the Zutons. Scissor Sisters and The Streets are alright as well. I'm very surprised that Busted aren't in Best Pop, but maybe, as someone pointed out, it's because they haven't released much in the past year. Most of it's really crap though - I mean Best Single?! I'm quite surprised 3am/Thunderbirds wasn't nominated. Click here to see the nominations.
Busted are on the cover of TOTP mag and there's a big Busted calendar free with that, they're also in Smash Hits - an interview and poster. I think they're in It's Hot as well, but I didn't see that so I'm not sure yet.
Also, I'm probably not going to be online much in the next month or so, the amount of homework I had last night was actually ridiculous, so I hope that doesn't keep up lol, but even so, that doesn't stop the fact I've got exams in just over a month. I'll try and get on for a bit every night and update you with any news I can find though.

Change of plan with the forum thing. If you're going to plug Busted on forums, you could try actors and actresses etc, as well as music sites. Remember to post this link as well, so they can listen to music and get a sample of what they sound like. Also, I tried on the official Good Charlotte forums, and they didn't get a great reception, but that's mainly due to the fact they thought Busted are trying to be something they're not.
It's the Brits nominations launch tomorrow, so let's hope Busted are up for something again! Last year, they won two awards (Best Pop and Best Breakthrough), so I hope they get at least one this year.

Someone pointed out in the form that most of the songs aren't working.. they're fixed now, it was because of the permission settings of the folder most of them are in.

I've got a little bit of information on there about the band, some random pictures.. it's pretty neat, and with quick visuals and songs, it's a good way of promotion. Especially as in just a couple of days, Losing You got 53 listens. Oh yes baby. <3

Hmm. Charlie's in Kerrang. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, KERRANG. Basically, he said that Busted is not his ideal band, that he prefers Fightstar (which we already knew lol) and that IF the situation came up that he has to choose, he'd choose Fightstar.
We knew this already. But it's Kerrang. Kerrang hates Busted. Charlie's not going to go to them and say 'shut up, I love Busted and Fightstar'.. it seems more like he's trying to get respect from their readers to be honest lol, although that might make people respect Busted as a band more. What annoys me more is that he seems to be taking Busted's success for granted - Fightstar would be completely unknown if it wasn't for Busted. But whatever, he's not ready to leave just yet. Busted's next album is released this year, I don't think Charlie's allowed to leave even if he wants to, until they've released two more albums. The thing that confuses me is that if he's so prepared to leave, why did Busted even bother going over to America? We need to get Busted popular over there pretty soon, because I think if they succeed (and if he loves the new album) then it may change his attitude.

I still don't believe the rumours about him trying to leave at a gig etc etc, but keep in mind that it may happen at one point, it's just that that point might be further away than you think. Also if you read the Big Issue interview, it features the following quotes:
James: They must have nothing else to print. It kinda pisses me off. It'll probably shave years off our career because if fans keep hearing that we're splitting up they'll start to lose interest. We're not, by the way.
Charlie: I wish people would just f***ing shut up about it, all that really matters to me is music.
There's also a rumour that Matt has a solo deal. Argh, rumours are rife. And the songs are back, by the way.

'It’s weird how all those rumours started – it was over a year ago now that everyone was going ‘Ooh, Charlie’s leaving Busted’.. and here I still am. Hopefully that’d be enough to prove that the rumours were rubbish!'
They also talk about the next album and how wicked it's going to sound, what they're hoping to do on the next tour, everything. They're on a five album contract, and so far they've released two (three if you count the live one, but some say it doesn't count, some say it does). I don't think they're ready to give up yet.
If there was any tension within the band, I don't think they'd be trying so hard to prove the rumours wrong. Look at Travis Barker. He was in Blink 182, Boxcar Racer and The Transplants - all signed bands, all at the same time. Look at Blink 182 now. There's loads more examples that you can find. That's the reason I'm taking all these split rumours with a pinch of salt.
Another rumour is that Matt is in a film called Dead Hunters 2 - it stars someone called Matt Jay, but it's not our Matt haha. I know there's a profile for him on IMDB, but if you look at the film posters etc, there's no sign of Matt. And where exactly did he find the time to film a movie, anyway? Haha.

Happy New Year all, I think you'll all agree that last year was an incredible year for Busted - they had two number ones, two sold out arena tours, their second album went multi-platinum, they picked up two Brit awards, and hopefully this year will be even better! I also want to thank all of you visitors for making this become one of the biggest Busted sites on the internet, it's amazing to know that so many of you appreciate the hours of work I put into this site. Thank you everyone. <3! Now it's time for some news haha.
There's a story that Matt went to a Million Dead gig on Christmas Day (although some places report that it was Metro Riots). He was supposedly threatened, and ended up having to leave with his mates. I've been told that it's not true, and that Matt was only seen running down some stairs, but there was no sign of violence or anything. This is a prime example of how the Sun can take a simple action out of proportion to make a big story. And that, my friends, is why you can't believe everything that you read.
OH YEAH, and on Christmas Eve, there was a program called 'Before They Were Famous' on BBC1, I missed it but apparently there was a clip of Matt at an audition. DANCING. Like a prat, apparently. Did anyone record it? And would it be possible to get it uploaded?
Popjustice's top 200 singles of the year include Air Hostess at no.46, Thunderbirds Are Go/3am at no.78, Who's David at no.105 and She Wants To Be Me at no.123. In front of Air Hostess, they have about 5 songs that I like. Haha.
