James has squashed the rumours that the band is called Son Of Dork, I assume they still haven't decided on a name though.

There is a rumour that Matt and Emma have split because she supposedly said he's been partying too much. I have no idea if this is true. In other Matt news, he has started driving lessons apparently, Oo. Watch out, pedestrians! :-D

Okay, Reenee (of Bourne Online) has checked the registration of sonofdork.com, and it's registered to Prestige Management. However, if you look here, it says they registered it on January 26th 2005.. don't you think that if the band are still deciding on a name, then that was a bit early to register it? lol as I said before though, we'll see.

The rumour that Matt's debut single is to be called Rock Star is still going. It has now been added that it's being released on August 26th. To be honest, I think we'd have heard official announcements by now if that was true.

James (not Bourne lol.. Combine Harvester on busted.com boards) has posted that Matt and James are signing to Mercury Records, as Paul Adams has moved from Universal Island to the A&R dept. of Mercury. You can read more info here.

And finally, be an unashamed teenie and vote Charlie, ha!

BWAH, I am home! Really sorry about the lack of updates lately, holidays are tiring, ha.

The Daily Star have been obsessed with Matt lately.. thanks to Cat for telling me about both of these. On the 24th, he was reported to be receiving treatment from a skin specialist due to acne, and the 25th brought news that Emma isn't happy, as Jacqui Adams keeps texting him. Oo.

Also, people think that Son Of Dork is almost definitely going to be the name of James's band, since there is information here. Bourne Online has also pointed out that sonofdork.com is a registered domain, however I'm googling 'Son Of Dork' to see if I can work out where they might have got the name from.. and found something that links to sonofdork.com and underneath, says 'on this site we will randomly insult a number of people because of their looks, actions or just because we feel like being offensive about them' haha, so hmm. Anyway, in references so far, I've found it's a character's nickname in a film called Problem Child, haha! I also found someone who has listed Son Of Dork as one of her favourite bands. I now want to cry. HOW can they be a favourite band when you HAVEN'T HEARD THEIR MUSIC?! *calms down*

Really looking forward to their album though, it's being produced by Gil Norton (who also produced Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World, Dashboard Confessional, Feeder etc). Woo. I'll be surprised if I don't like them, but I'm not gonna go declaring that they're one of my favourite bands already, haaa.

Onto Charlie.. who has spoken out about the video ban, click here to read that. You can find more Fightstar in this week's Kerrang, where Charlie is interviewed by MR MATT FROM FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND! Also a couple of other odd bits in there that are Fightstar-related, and you can catch them live next August alongside Trivium and Coheed and Cambria. Click on the fso.com link for more info on that!

Wah, I meant to update before now, but I've been stranded in random cities and all over the place hahaha.

There is a rumour that James's band is called Son Of Dork.. I have NO idea if that's true though haha, at least it's not as bad as Dinoslaggy. However, if you have any better ideas, you can go to cduk.com to put them in.

In Matt news, he's in the Daily Star today because he and some friends went to the Movida club in London last night or something, and they got in a bit of a scrap, causing them to be separated from the other clubbers. Matt also had a 'shopgirl' and a model, Jacqui Adams, hitting on him, ha. Thanks to Cat for sending me that. Pictures from the night out are here.

More James pics! Here, here, here and here, go lookie.

There is an article on James and his new band (still unnamed) here (thanks to Hayley, Sarah and Joanne for sending that link). The Sun, typically, have also picked up on this and claim that James reckons they're going to split up soon because of the 'arguments' over the name - sometimes I wonder why The Sun actually BOTHERS writing, because I mean really, all they print is rubbish.. but that's ridiculous lol.

You can find more pictures of James at the Charlie And The Chocolate Factory premiere on wireimage.com (search 'busted').

There are also more articles on the Matt/Emma thing, but I won't bother posting cause they're basically quotes from the article I posted yesterday.

James was at the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie premiere last night, pictures are on gettyimages.com. Someone also posted their own pictures of him (they're tagged) on here.

There is something about Matt in Now as well, I'm not sure what yet, but it's talking about the way he's going to be marketed (more like Busted than credible rock) and comparing him to Robbie Williams. I'll try and get hold of the magazine later to see exactly what it says.

Emma is in Mail On Sunday talking about Matt, and someone has posted it here. Quite nice, really.

Matt was in the Daily Star yesterday or Wednesday or something, to do with his solo career. There's some info about who he's working with, and it mentions Jason Perry from A and also Tom DeLonge, but I'm still not sure what to believe about that. I've typed up the article anyway:-

Matt Willis has conceded he'll never be able to compete with Fightstar.
The booze-loving former Busted bassist, 21, has struck up a solo deal with Island Records.
But he's confessed he's got no chance of getting the same level of critical acclaim that ex-bandmate Charlie Simpson's new project is currently achieving.
So he's hooking up with the biggest pop music writers on the planet to make sure he's not left entirely red-faced by his solo efforts.
Greg Alexander, the former New Radicals frontman who's penned hits for Ronan Keating, has been writing with Matt.
As have A frontma Jason Perry, American rocker Steve Ludwin and, most intriguingly of all, Blink 182's Tom Delonge.
My source tells me: 'He knows that his biggest talent is as a singer.
'He's under no illusion that he's an amazing musician so he's not planning to present himself as one by trying to follow the credible rock route that Charlie's going down with Fightstar.
'His solo stuff is the poppier side of rock, a step up from Busted really.'
Fightstar will release an album early next year. Matt's new material isn't likely to surface before then either as he is yet to make it into the studio after a very public battle [scan cuts off but I assume it's about the alcohol problem].

The whole critical acclaim thing is bollocks, it's probably just the press trying to stir things up by comparing them. Interesting stuff about the songwriters though, New Radicals were cool heh.

Anyway, about the James at PITP thing, it's usually aired on Fox FM radio apparently, so we should be able to listen to it on the website, wahey.

In other James news, he's in Southend with his family at the moment, and spent last weekend playing good ol' tennis. :-D Thankay to Rich for mentioning that.

12.07.05
Jenny has posted the finalised line up of James's band on the busted.com boards:-
James Bourne (guitar/vocals)
Ben Jackson (bass/vocals)
Dave (Williams, I think.. guitar, blond, Welsh, described as 'proper emo')
Chris (Leonard, I assume.. guitar)
Danny (don't know his surname, drums, comes from Cheshire)

Thank you for that! I will post more info as it comes.

I'M BACK!!!! T In The Park was incredible, Fightstar were brilliant but unfortunately their set had to be cut short due to a delay in getting the arena opened. I felt sorry for them - Charlie was like 'okay, this is our last song, it's called Lost Like Tears In Rain' and one of the crew called to him and he turned back looking really pissed off and said 'oh. That's it. Sorry.' which was a real shame.. Omar looked pretty upset as well. Bless.

Anyway, in other news, James supposedly has a gig coming up at Party In The Park. I have no idea what's going on, but if you go here, he's definitely on the line up. Whether it's going to be a solo set or his new band, I have no idea. Unfortunately, I have no chance of going because I'll be back at school, even though it's at the weekend. I'm going to try to find out more about it though, and hopefully we'll be able to listen to the show on the radio (or even see it on TV, not sure about that, though).

Onto news about Matt. There was something in The People at the weekend, so thanks to whoever told me about this - Matt is recording a charity album with Billie Piper in memory of Natasha Young, a singer who tragically died in a car crash this March, aged 22. She attended Sylvia Young's theatre school with Billie and Matt, and the album will include Natasha's last song.

Oh yes, and Cat and Sanja have let me know that James and Matt are fine after the bombings, although Sanja said they were pretty close to it when it happened.

Since then, Matt has been spotted in West One Four (venue in Kensington) on Friday night, at The Flaming Monkeys' gig; apparently he's a huge fan. Matt looked really well, and went off after the gig to a Soho club with friends. Thanks to whoever sent me that news. I just read another email as well, saying Matt's in New York right now.

And to be completely random, hahaha!!

Anyway.. 64 emails to go, so I might well have more news by the end of tonight, haha.

07.07.05
Sorry for the last update, I've taken off the little rant bit. I want to thank everyone for their support - although I haven't replied to all the emails, I really do appreciate them, and I'll try and email you all back before tonight.

So in actual news, Si has posted on busted.com boards that James's band (still mysteriously unnamed) got back from recording in LA last weekend and are rehearsing hard in London. Speaking of London, I honestly don't know if the boys are okay after the terrorist attacks, but Jen (fso.com) says that all of Fightstar are. I'm yet to find out about James and Matt, though. I'm sorry to those affected by the incident. <3

There is a rumour that Matt's debut single is called Rock Star, which I personally think is a bad title lol. Depends what it's about though. I have no idea if it's true, apparently it was posted on the McFly boards.

I've also been sent these pics of Matt and James from the MakePovertyHistory advert (which I still haven't seen! If I can, I'll try and get a download of it). Anyway, thank you muchly to whoever sent these - one of James and one of Matt! And a big thank you also to Holly for sending these three!

In answer to one of the questions, I said I'm making sites for Matt and James and not Charlie because I already have a site on Fightstar here.

I'm going to be really busy for the next couple of weeks, but I will try and update as much as I can. On Friday, I leave for T In The Park, and I'll get back on Monday, but then on Wednesday, I'm off again for two weeks.. I will have the internet in that time though, so I can still update. I just thought I should let you know, in case there are days when I'm too busy to get online etc.

03.07.05
I've answered two weeks worth of questions, I'll get the rest done sooooon. I've also uploaded some requested mp3s, so here we go:-

Matt Willis - You Said No
James Bourne - You Said No
Charlie Simpson - You Said No
Currently uploading: both the album and single versions of Sleeping With The Light On.

A few people have asked what I meant by not knowing what I'm going to do with this site.. basically, I'm thinking of making separate sites for Matt and James, and then link them all together here, but keep the main site as well. It'll be confusing, but might make it a bit more organised than if I was dealing with them all on the same site. We'll see though, I don't want to do anything until I'm sure I like James and Matt's music. Even though I'm pretty sure I will.

By the way, I know the non-Busted radio is down.. it's because the domain it's hosted on is on downtime, I'll be getting it back up in the next couple of days though.

01.07.05
Okay, I've calmed down a bit, and I apologise for exploding before. But the emails really did piss me off because it's not my fault if I haven't got any news to update about. I updated this site almost every day for over two and a half years, and as soon as I start updating it every few days whenever I find news (amongst having a social life, studying two advanced highers and a higher, exams, AND the internet breaking for a month), loads of you bloody complain! I really felt like I should just close the site and have done with it this morning, but I know I never would close it because of something stupid like that.

I just want to say thank you for all the lovely emails I received, it's because of you that I'm not too bothered any more, so thanking you all. <3 I've taken my big rant off, but here to illustrate exactly why I am/was pissed off, are a couple of the said emails:-
'THIS JUST IN: YOU SUCK AT UPDATING SO WHY DONT YOU JUST LET SOMEONE ELSE DO IT AND I DONT KNOW WHO YOUR "ANONYMOUS SOURCE" IS BUT THE DRUMMER FOR JAMES BAND IS MARK FROM V YES HE ACTUALLY PLAYS DRUMS....YOU MIGHT BE BETTER OFF SELLING THE SITE OFF TO SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY HAS A BRAIN..THANKS :)'
'I think that u are stupid'
'sorry but why dont u eva update'
There were a few others, all pretty much the same as that last one, but as you can imagine, the first one really pissed me off. I don't know if the drummer is Mark, and trust me, the 'anonymous source' probably knows more than that person because he knows some of the band members.

Anyway, tell you what. I'll type up some magazine interviews later, and answer lots of questions before the end of this weekend (because I've had plenty of complaints about that as well, and I'm sorry about that). I might even make a new layout too, I need to sort out what I'm going to do with the site though.. but I don't know if I should do that until I've heard some of Matt and James's new work.

For now though, NEW PICS (and old) of Matt! Not exactly news, but you know.. most of the pics posted seem to be from HERE. James (Combine Harvester on those boards) has also posted an old interview, but it's still interesting, and funny. :-)
