This is a press release from Universal Records 4/4/03 - 21:15, this was published by NME, MTV and DotMusic.com.
After much discussion, Busted have decided to part company with Matt Jay, the split was amicable and James and Charlie would like to reassure fans that they will continue for the foreseeable future as a duo, no further details will be released until a meeting is held at the bands management offices in London next Tuesday, 8th April.
It is believed the split was in response after Jay was arrested and later charged with assault earlier this afternoon, Matt has strongly denied these claims and will fight them in court, he feels he is unable to continue with the band whilst these charges hang over him.
Universal Records would like to state on the record that we have every faith in Matt Jay and we await his return to the band in the near future, meanwhile fans may leave voice mail of support to Matt on the following number: 08457 484950

OK, first of all, this is MAY now, and the trio are still rocking *wink* hehe. Another thing, my mate tried calling the number, and it's fake. As for Mattie getting arrested.. I don't know if it's true, but it might have something to do with the black eye. Anyway, I hope that's cleared some stuff up!

Are the rumours true? Busted Online has been HOSTED?! Yep!! Hehe, my friend Becci (from Busted Web) offered to host this site at her domain, loserkid.org! So how could I refuse? OK, I know I said about this aaages ago, but about the Busted book.. I'm actually confused. When I posted about it before, I had found it on amazon.co.uk, where you can pre order it. On there, it says it's to be released on 10th July. But now everyone's saying it's released on 7th July.. I know there's not much difference haha, but still, I'm not sure which it is.

Anyway, for those who don't know about it (where have you been?! hehe jk), Busted are releasing their official book, about how they met, life in their flat etc etc.. just loads of info basically. And loads of gorgeous pics, I expect *wink* hehe.

Argh, I've been so busy.. sorry for not updating! Lots of stuff to do on the site, including the mags page. Anyway, first bit of news: I've heard that Busted's next single, Sleeping With The Light On is to be released on 11th August. I don't know if that's true though. GODDAMMIT, I thought it was gonna be July, which is when I'm going down to England, which is when they'll do signings.. YES, you get the point, I was REALLY REALLY hoping to meet them!! But I guess that's out of the question if that release date is true. *cries* I'll live. I guess.

Also, next year's tour has been confirmed.. sorry, but I think they've got a bit ahead of themselves here! NEXT MARCH?!?! Thinking of that ALREADY?! Anyway, here are the dates:

Busted's album is a non-mover, staying at no.4 for another week. 'You Said No', however, has dropped five places to no.9.

As for site updates.. I've added a bit to the gallery. Nope, not more pics (well, I'll add more soon haha), but a page telling you how to create your own albums and such. And I've reorganised the albums a bit. *sigh* and one day, I might get round to sorting through the albums and making seperate albums etc. And adding screenshots. And scanning magazine articles. And.. yes, you get the point haha, there's a lot I could do.

I apologize for not updating earlier.. Busted were on TOTP.. I missed the performance but I think it was a repeat of last week's? Anyway, it also showed Kym Marsh backstage, with Busted *note to self: DO NOT miss repeat, and remember to record it* haha, so if you missed it, make sure you watch the repeat, which is on at at 2.40am tomorrow (well, Saturday/Sunday) on BBC1.

Also, Busted will be performing at Party in the Park.. yep, it's been confirmed hehe.. and WHAT'S THIS? I'm going to be down there on that day?!?! *screams with delight* OH MY GOD, I'm actually BUSY on that day *screams with frustration!!* HELL, I'd do ANYTHING to go to that!!!!!! Anyway, I'll update this later, because I'm on the other computer, and I don't have all the info on it on here.

Sorry I didn't update earlier, I've been busy revising for History.. ugh. Anyway, I am pleased to say that Busted's album has gone from no.5 to.. no.4!! Hehe OK, it's not much, but it's still better than no.5, and it also means that they're ahead of David Sneddon, who's new album is at 5. As for the single.. it's dropped to no.4 - like last week, there are three new entries, all of which are in the top 3, knocking Busted to that position.

Hehehe, Busted have broken some records! *gasp* They are the first band to release three consecutive singles going 3-2-1, and they are Busted's first three singles, not just three in a row hehe. Also, I've heard that Charlie is the first person in Suffolk to have a number one single.. whether this has been recorded, I don't know.. and I don't even know if it's true, or whether the other guys are the first people in their area too. lol so the first one is the only one that is DEFINITELY true. Which is greatttt hehe!!! Well done Busted!!
