I've added a page of links where you can request What I Go To School For on American radio stations for free. Hopefully this will increase their airplay, so get requesting.

Busted are on the cover of the new Smash Hits and also Sugar.

29.11.04
The live DVD and the Band Aid single are both out TODAY. So buy them.

Today is the supposed 'official release date' of the exclusive She Wants To Be Me CD, although I and a few others bought it last week, so I don't know what's going on with that.

I also don't know what's happening with Band Aid - everyone was making a huge thing of it being set for the Christmas number one, yet it's being released a month before Christmas.. you can also hardly hear Busted on it, but buy it anyway, because it's all for charity.

28.11.04
The top 20 selling albums of the past year, thanks to Joe for sending me that.

Number nine, pretty damn good.

Busted apparently are taking over CoreControl and any radio stations associated with it (don't know if that included SGR Colchester, or if this is a seperate thing) tonight from 7pm until 10pm.

Anyway, I just listened to Busted on SGR Colchester, they were on at 7-8pm but I missed the first 10 minutes. From then on, they played (in between talking):-
Michael Jackson (can't remember what song)
A clip of Jet - Are You Gonna be My Girl? was playing in the background
Then it changed to Britney Spears - Toxic
Busted - You Said No live (Matt claimed it's his fave song on the live album, woo)
The Killers - Mr Brightside (Charlie: one of the best tracks this year)
Blink 182 - I Miss You
EXCLUSIVE ACOUSTIC TRACK - That Thing You Do (!!)
Band Aid 20 - Do They Know It's Christmas?
Busted - When Day Turns Into Night

ACOUSTIC TRACK IS AMAZING. Unfortunately, my microphone decided that it doesn't work so I couldn't record it, so I hope that if no one's recorded it then they'll have the show available to re-listen. Anyway, that rumour about the acoustic live album.. acoustic That Thing You Do.. may add up?

As usual, I was being a loser and taking notes. James was asked what band he'd want to be in if he wasn't in Busted, and he said New Found Glory. Matt said he wanted to buy a lizard but the guy in the shop wouldn't sell him it because he doesn't like Busted and thought Matt would just kill it (unless I completely misunderstood that hahaha). Don't worry, I think it's pathetic as well.

Matt said he's never had a tracksuit and James said he's owned lots haha, random. They all think Charlie will be the first to settle down, and Charlie told a story of Camilla finding that a fox had ripped off the top of their rabbit's hutch. I think she saved the rabbit, but I missed that bit. Poor Biffy.

The best thing about being famous, says James and Charlie, is getting free tickets to sold out gigs of good bands.

I also got something in the news form saying Matt threw a(nother) TV out of his hotel window at 3am.. was that last night?

27.11.04
I've answered ALL your questions, rawr. I've received quite a few bits of news so off we go:-

Thanks to Kay for telling me that Busted are in the top 20 in the Saudi Arabian chart. In other foreign news, I can't remember if I said but the live DVD will be out in Japan on December 22nd.

Tomorrow evening, Busted will (supposedly) be on SGR Colchester from 7pm. Thanks to Michelle for that.

Lina sent me a short article from Popstar (American mag):-
British punk/pop wonders BUSTED went from being unknown *NSYNC admirers to hard rockin' chartcrashers in their native land - I know that over the years we've said 'so-and-so is huge in the UK' but trust us, Busted is enormous in the UK. Facing the prospect of starting all over in America as unknowns, Matt, Charlie and James turned a neg into a poz by making that struggle into the conecpt for a new reality series on MTV2, titled at press time From Heroes to Zeroes. The only Zeroes they have to worry about are the dozens on the ends of their paychecks! But the show concept is the best since The Ashlee Simpson Show.. and that show led Ash to a #1debut with her Autobiography CD and an endorsement deal with Candie's!
From Heroes To Zeroes? That's a way better name for the show haha.

Talking of the American show, you can watch it HERE - huge thanks to Tachie for telling me about that!

25.11.04
Been to the Busted tour yet? Please send me a review - I haven't got any yet.

Wow, huge thanks to Sara for sending me a load of news/rumours from the Music Rumour Mill - so bear in mind that some/all of these may not be true.

1. The Busted boys are taking a well-deserved break early next year to work on their new album, which looks set to be fantastic. Never fear, though, Busted fans.. the boys are rumoured to be releasing a special acoustic album to tide their fans over until the new one hits the shelves. The album will feature exclusive, uncut acoustic versions of all of their hits - as well as some bonus material which has been previously kept under wraps.

ACOUSTIC ALBUM, how wicked would that be?! I really hope that's true.

2. Busted bassist Matt Jay has revealed that he would love to appear in popular ITV reality show, I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. 'It'd be a great thing to do,' the 21 year old chirps. 'I don't mind creepy crawlies and stuff like that. I wouldn't mind eating maggots and sh*t.' So, is it possible that the Busted star could be appearing in a future series of the show? 'We'll just have to wait and see, won't we?' was his response. Busted are also rumoured to be playing at the final of the show, which will, this time round, feature a whole hosts of bands and artists playing live. Singer and guitarist James Bourne is said to have a 'huge crush' on contestant Sophie Anderton, and is eager to play at the final with the hope of meeting her.

I have no idea if this is true or not, but if it is, then it might prove to be good publicity for the boys - isn't the show aired in lots of different countries? ..Maybe I'm the one talking crap here haha.

3. Busted had, reportedly, originally intended to release this year's offical Children In Need single. The pop sensations are rumoured to have written a song especially for the event, and were planning to release it along with a popular track off their album, Nerdy. Bassist Matt Jay's rendition of The Clash's 'Should I Stay Or Should I Go', which is currently going down a storm on the band's sell-out UK arena tour, was set to be a b-side. Frontman Charlie Simpson is said to have been 'disappointed to have missed out on a great opportunity' when 'Popstars: The Rivals' winners Girls Aloud were picked to record the single instead. 'Maybe next year,' an unhappy-looking Simpson shrugged, once the band recieved the news.

DFKJSDFSDFKJ *has spaz attack* B SIDE B SIDE!!! I hope they still put that on a single.. and it would be interesting to hear their Children In Need song as well - better than Girls Aloud doing a cover. Then again, the whole story might not be true.

4. A pair of drumsticks is currently being sold on popular online auction site, eBay, and looks set to make hundreds. The drumsticks originally belonged to Busted star Charlie Simpson, who tossed them into a packed audience after playing the drums during one of the band's gigs. When told how much money the sticks were going for, Simpson was 'astounded'.

This isn't true. Unless I've missed the auction, I just looked on there and found this. No mention of Charlie using them, and they're certainly not going for £100s.

5. The first episode of the new MTV series 'America Or Busted', a fly-on-the-wall documentary about the popular British band's quest to crack the States, is being aired in the UK this week. It is being shown at 10.30pm as a result of the boys' use of 'bad language' and 'laddish antics'. The six-part series is said to be released on a DVD early next year.

I hope that's true about the DVD, I don't know if it'll be out EARLY next year though. Apparently the show will be on channel 4 in March (again, that is a rumour so don't believe it straight away) for all us people without Sky, so if you want to watch it before then, get one of your friends to record it for you.

24.11.04
I don't know why busted.com announced that She Wants To Be Me is released on Monday 29th, because I walked into the local record store today and lo and behold, She Wants To Be Me was on the shelves. It's not going to be in the singles chart, as it's only released on a 3 inch CD to promote the live album and DVD - and it works it most CD players, including computer ones. It costs £2.99 (or does up here anyway) and the only tracks on it are the studio and live versions of the song. It's very cute though hahaha, it's tiny! :-D

Haha random information, but there are a few threads on the American MTV site leaving good comments about Busted. Plus one bad one, but most of the Americans stuck up for Busted, so that sounds quite good. There is also a mention that they're being played on ROCK stations in the States, which is a bit weird.

23.11.04
BUSTED ARE NOT SPLITTING UP NOW SHUT UP!

Sorry, but these rumours have been going on for nearly a year now. A YEAR! And guess what? Busted haven't split up yet. In January, they are ALL taking a break (yes, not just Charlie/Fightstar) to write the new album, and so Charlie is seizing the chance to spend a bit of time with Fightstar. So what? I don't think I've voiced my opinion on this on here yet, but what I think is if you look at Busted in recent interviews, they're not being arrogant at all, they're just exhausted. Think about it - they've been working non stop for over two years now and you expect them to be the same chirpy young lads? The thing is, I think this break is going to give them a well-deserved rest, and they're going to come back fresher and more energetic than ever with some amazing new material.

But then, that's just me. But there are plenty of quotes from BUSTED THEMSELVES that prove that they're not at all ready to split. So don't go believing the damn tabloids; two words: they suck.

By the way, A Ticket For Everyone was out in Japan on November 10th so if you haven't already got it over there, then buy it! Thanks to Maya for that.

22.11.04
BUSTED MADE IT!! They're in the final 10 for Record Of The Year 2004, details on how to vote are coming soon.

It's Busted day on MTV and MTV Hits this Thursday, and their MTV show will be starting in the UK that night at 10.30pm. There will be a repeat of it on Friday at 11pm.

On December 4th, there will be a Popworld Busted special again - the one last year was really good, so make sure you don't miss this one!

A Ticket For Everyone is now out in Thailand, I don't know if it's out in Japan, but it probably is.

21.11.04
New layout! A live theme as promised. Hope you all like it.

I've answered a load of questions, updated the download of the moment and added lyrics for the Band Aid song and Should I Stay Or Should I Go. To the person who sent me a hate email about the Charlie/James site - IT'S A BIT OF FUN! ie. NOT SERIOUS. Get a sense of humour.

19.11.04
Good news! Thanks to Tachie for telling me that in America, What I Go To School For is on artistdirect.com - it went from #539 to #22 and now #1! also on teenmusic.com it went from #6 to #4 and now it's #2! Sales are also really picking up on amazon.com. She also suggested that people should vote on the VH1 Countdown.

Talking of American promotion, someone sent me this link which has all the radio stations to request Busted on. Don't forget to vote on mtv.com as well.

And while you're on mtv.com, check out the clips from the new show! It starts tonight in America at 9pm, so don't miss it. If you do, it will be repeated tomorrow at 6.30pm and again on Sunday at 12.30am. It'll start here in the UK next Thursday at 10.30pm.

Haha look what I found. Click! It's tickets on ebay, but the picture is an old layout of Busted Online hahaha. Unfortunately, it's one with the old address on it, so it's not really promotion for this site but I found it quite funny all the same.

17.11.04
FADOOOZAA!! Busted (or Matt anyway) is performing a Clash classic, Should I Stay Or Should I Go? on the tour! I wanna hear itttt, rawr.

16.11.04
I've typed up three interviews - two from TV Hits and a Smash Hits one.

If you're going to see the boys at Cardiff on November 24th, don't forget to pop in to Hard Rock Cafe. They're offering 10% discount on all meals for that one night for Busted fans only. Remember, you MUST take your Busted ticket with you for verification or you won't get the discount!

15.11.04
Busted's tour starts TONIGHT people, the support acts are V and Undesided so it's going to be wicked - I hope you've all got your tickets!

There's two Band Aid articles here and here.

There's a new fanlisting on the network, for Camilla Smith. It's been approved by her so don't worry about it being perhaps disrespectful or something (my friend who runs it had some complaints that Camilla might not be happy with it). Anyway, go JOIN if you think she rules. :-D

14.11.04
Wow, have you seen Matt's new hair?!!? It's the same sort of style (black with mohawk) but the mohawk's purple and sort of stuck out at the front. To see what I mean, go to gettyimages.com and search 'Busted'.

I've updated a few random pages - artists, twins and my twin, added the latest TOTP magazine interview and changed one of the links on the links and affiliates pages (bustedjmc.com).

13.11.04
The covers of the DVD and She Wants To Be Me have been released on amazon:-

Click for larger images. I expected the DVD to be that other cover I posted a while ago, but eh. There you go.

Also found a little quote from Matt - 'Those guys are just my best friends in the whole world. It really gets to me when people say we're about to split or that we don't get one because it's bollocks.' So yes, Busted are splitting up. [/sarcasm]

12.11.04
Ashley emailed me with this article:-

New York, NY November 12th, 2004 - UK super group Busted who recently released their self-titled CD for the first time in the US will also star in their own reality TV show on MTV 2. The first episode of "America Or Busted" will air November 19th at 9PM. The six -episode series will chronicle the everyday lives of this UK phenomena to see if this band has what it takes to break in the US and determine if Charlie, Matt and James can survive their extended stay away from home.

Busted are no strangers to the world of fame and super stardom. Busted holds the record as the second highest selling recording artist in the UK. They also hold a Guinness record as the only UK group ever to have their first singles debut at number 3, 2 and 1 In addition, to fantastic album sales, they were winners at the BRIT Awards (British Record Industry Trust, similar to the U.S. Grammys) for "British Breakthrough Artist" and "Best Pop Act,' beating out not only Christina Aguilera, but pop staples such as Justin Timberlake and the Black Eye Peas.

Busted is currently on a sold out arena tour in the UK for the months of November and December, playing for over 100,000 fans. They will return to states in March, 2005 to perform for one lucky school as party of the Cingular Wireless/360 Youth Promotion. Album in stores now!

11.11.04
Click to read an article about Matt talking about how he and Emma are just friends, and he claims that she's too out of his league. Oo.

I received this email from the marketing department at Nottingham Arena:-

Extra seats have been released for Busted's gigs on both the 15 & 16 November 2004. They are classed as side/restricted view but are probably some of the best seats in the house as they are situated right beside the stage. Tickets are priced at £22.50 (plus booking fees).

Tickets can be booked through the 24hr Ticket Hotline 0870 121 0123, online at nottingham-arena.com or in person at Nottingham Arena Box Office at the National Ice Centre, Bolero Square, The Lace Market, Nottingham.

09.11.04
Wow I thought I wasn't gonna get an update in today haha.

Click for an article about 'America Or Busted' - the date for the UK has changed yet again to November 25th.

08.11.04
There is a new show on Dutch MTV called 'Have Boybands Gone Busted?' I assume it's about boybands evolving into proper bands, but Busted were on it anyway. It was aired tonight, but it will apparently be repeated tomorrow, I don't know what time though. The next part in the series will be on next Monday at 8pm.

There is a rumour that Busted will be attending a ceremony in Wembley Arena in remembrance of John Peel, and they'll perform Teenage Kicks. I don't know if this is true or not.

07.11.04
Damn, I missed Popworld this morning - I woke up in time as well hahaha. (and then fell asleep again). They'll be on it again on November 21st.

Busted are on TRL tomorrow.. I've just looked at the diary dates on busted.com because someone pointed out that the date for the live DVD has been changed to November 22nd.

Number eleven, I hope all those who didn't buy the album are suitably ashamed of yourselves. Busted were speaking on the radio for a couple of minutes, and they confirmed that they're involved in Band Aid 3. Don't worry if you missed it because you can re-listen later (after 7pm) on the Radio 1 site.

I knew the album wasn't going to be number one, because I know loads of people who aren't buying it for at least one of these reasons - 1. They're waiting for the DVD instead, 2. It doesn't have any new songs on it or 3. They're getting it for Christmas. The album also hasn't had much promotion. But it's a wicked album all the same, I love it.

06.11.04

Busted are in the November issues of American mag Tigerbeat (as well as Popstar).

Thanks to whoever sent me this link - it's the full video of She Wants To Be Me!

04.11.04
Busted are apparently going to be releasing the Band Aid single which will be running for the Christmas number one this year. Other artists involved in this are The Darkness, Travis, Coldplay and Jamelia.

AND BUY THE LIVE ALBUM!!!!

02.11.04
Okay so apparently the dates for the start of the MTV show have changed.. it'll now start on November 19th in America and 24th here.

01.11.04
BUY THE LIVE ALBUM! It's absolutely amazing hehe, some of their comments and adlibs are funny too. :-D I've made some promo icons for it:-

Choose your favourite and put it as your MSN display picture or avatar on a forum or anything! Promote away!

And German fans - you're in luck! It's out there on November 15th.

Busted are to turn on the Christmas lights this year on November 7th in Regent Street, London. They will perform three songs beforehand at around 5.15pm. Not only is it a great honour for the boys to do this, but it is also the 50th anniversary of the ceremony.

I've also added two magazine interviews, huge thanks to Joanne for typing those up. :-D I'm working on the gallery, I've made a layout for it and uploaded some pictures - it should be up completely by next weekend, depending on how much school work I have.
