Do you wear your belt loose on purpose, because after your trousers fell down once on stage I'd have thought you would have learned your lesson!

Ha ha! I do wear trousers that fit me, it's just I don't really have a bum. It's a bum issue! Unless I'm wearing them Simon Cowell-style, they're gonna fall down sometimes. But I'm working on it!

Where do you get inspiration for your songs from?

Inspiration comes from anything. James has a philosophy that a sunny day always equals a good song. I grab inspiration from experiences which have happened to me. When I'm down I'm just pissed off and I can't write, so I have to be in a good mood.

Do you ever tire of screaming fans?

How could you ever get tired of screaming fans? I went shopping in my hometown of Kingston and got mobbed. It's embarrassing because you end up with loads of people around you and everyone else is thinking, 'Who does he think he is?!' The only way to go to the cinema is to arrivefive minutes before the movie starts and run in. You can't risk buying popcorn!

You all seem to be real party animals, but what's the most rock 'n' roll thing you do?

I'm not into snorting ants or stuff like that. How do you measure it? I shower every day, I talk to my mum occasionally, and all those kinds of things go against the rock 'n' roll thing, don't they? Sorry.

If you could be a girl for a day, who would she be and why?

I'd be Britney, of course! I'd look at myself in the mirror all day with no clothes on and I'd take tons of pictures and send them to myself. That's such a good idea!

I heard there's gonna be Busted: The Movie. What can we expect?

There's not going to be Busted: The Movie as in SpiceWorld: The Movie. Matt and James were both actors before Busted, and I got a drama scholarship when I was younger. So there is talk of us acting in a film, but it wouldn't be about the band. I'd like to do a film like Clerks where there's tons of chatting about life and stuff.

What is the most embarrassing thing you've done?

I got drunk and puked in Matt's bag once. That was funny. I was sharing a room with him and he woke up in them morning and found it. I said sorry but I didn't help him clear it up!

What do you prefer? Performing or getting off with girls?

Your birthday is the same as mine (13 September). Did it bring you bad luck last year as it was on a Friday?

Actually, this last year has been absolutely amazing, so I think it's brought me every bit of good luck!

What do you say to allegations made by Kelly Osbourne that you can't play the guitar?

I'd say she's talking out of her arse, and that's a big arse! I've been playing guitar for 12 years, so I think it's safe to say I can play the guitar. She's famous for slagging off everybody. I do find some things she says funny, but not when I'm on the receiving end. If it was true I wouldn't mind, but it's not!

When did you last get 'Busted'?

What we're getting grief for at the moment is that people think we don't write our songs. Avril Lavigne said it and I believe we're in the same bracket as her. She says in interviews she hates it when people try to take her credibility away and it's the same for us, so it pisses me off when she does it to us. If everyone who doubted Busted was a fly on the wall in the studio and saw the process of making our album, they would feel differently.

Which video did you enjoy recording the most?

The videos have got better - well, the girls in the videos have got better! The girl in Sleeping With The Light On is stunning! When we saw her photo we said, 'That's the girl. This video's going to be good!' It's great if we fancy the girls in the video because it makes it better.
