Busted have been to the year 3000 and you won't believe what they've seen!
Hey boys! So what kind of choons will peeps listen to in the year 3000?
Mattie: A couple of years ago, I'd have said everything would be computerised, but old-skool rock 'n' roll is coming back, big time. Music just goes round in circles.
James: There'll be new sounds around, but people will still listen to what we listen to now. I mean, people still play classical music that's hundreds of years old.
Charlie: Well, I was listening to Michael Jackson's 'Invincible' the other day, and some of the tracks are so advanced, I though this is what music will be like in the future. It's so powerful.
How will we listen to music?
Mattie: Well, even with CDs today, there's nothing like the sound of hearing a new band play live!
James: I think there'll still be CDs, but they'll invent ones that don't scratch!
Charlie: I think there'll be some sort of advanced microchip that you can store loads more music on.
What will be the height of fashion?
Mattie: I don't know, but I hope it's not weird. I look at some of the things my dad used to wear and cringe to the max! I think people are getting lazier about the way they dress though.
James: I haven't got a clue, but I bet whatever people think it'll be like, it won't be!
Charlie: I think men might wear skirts, 'cause years ago it was totally unacceptable for women to wear trousers, and now they do, so I think there'll be a reversal.
Will Eastenders still be running?
Mattie: I hope so! I'm a huge fan of Eastenders and Neighbours, but I haven't had time to watch TV lately!
James: Hopefully not, 'cause people will have more to do than sit around watching TV. I reckon schools will start getting people to work harder. People with too much time to kill end up doing stupid stuff, so I think it'll make the world a better place.
Charlie: Eastenders probably will be, but Neighbours definitely will - that's been on for as long as I can remember!
How will peeps travel?
Mattie: I seriously reckon there'll be tubes that you get into and they'll suck you to the destination you want to go, you know, like in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! And I reckon we'll have flying cars in my lifetime.
James: People will have pods that can drive, fly and swim! But you won't need driving lessons 'cause it'll drive itself.
Charlie: Oh, flying cars, and rock jet packs so we can fly ourselves!
What other useful inventions will there be?
Mattie: I think there will be a machine that you can tell what you want to eat. Like, you'll be able to ask for a roast lamb dinner, exactly the way your mum makes it, and there it is!
Charlie: Well, you can already see who you're talking to on some land line phones that have video screens, so I reckon you'll soon be able to do that with mobile phones. And you'll probably be able to get special gloves that have sensors, so you'll be able to touch the person you're talking to, as well!
What would you put in a time capsule for the year 3000?
Mattie: I'd put a Busted album in, along with some classic CDs, like 'Nevermind' by Nirvana. And I'd put in pictures of places like Sydney Harbour and the New York skyline, 'cause I think the world will look very different in a thousand years time.
James: I'd put in a mobile phone and a Big Mac! I think people will be more health conscious in the future so it'll be good to show them junk food. And I'd put in a copy of our single, 'Year 3000'!
Charlie: I'd probably put a £10 note in and a picture of Britney Spears!
If you could go to the year 3000 for a day, what would you do?
Mattie: I'd just go for a walk and see as much as I could - I'd go on a tour bus to take in the sights. Then I'd check out my relatives and look for my great, great, great granddaughter!
James: I'd look at all the cool inventions, work out how they were made, then go back to my own time and invent them first!
Charlie: I'd go to a history museum and find out what happened to the world in the last thousand years.
Do you think people will have holidays in space in the future?
Charlie: Yes. They're already talking about trips to the moon, aren't they? I reckon one day you'll be able to travel to Mars. I'd love to go to space!
