Where did the idea for Busted Online come from?
My brain. Haha the second I saw Busted, I knew there was something special about them, so I decided to make a site about them. But I wasn t very good at web design at the time - although I ve definitely improved now!
2. When was it set up?
Back in September 2002. 25th to be exact - it s twins with Busted Rock *dances* muhaha!
3. How did you go about setting it up?
I just looked around for as much information as I could find, and collected pictures and stuff, then made a layout and put it all on a site. Basically. Obviously slightly more complicated than that.
4. How long did it take to set the site up?
Not long. It was more getting round to starting it than actually doing it that took time haha!
5. What is the aim of the site?
To provide fans with all the Bustedness they need, and hopefully expand Busted s fanbase more by showing how bloody brilliant they are!
6. How does the site work?
You click buttons. :-p Haha, the navigation is pretty simple really, and there s a side bit, which has basic info about the site, random Busted pictures, lyrics etc. I m also going to add some extra things there, which may well be up by the time this is printed!
7. On a scale of one to ten, how successful do you feel your site is?
Hmm I don t really know. It is pretty successful, I get a lot of hits and people seem to like it, which is great! So I d say.. 8? 9?
8. What do you think sets your site above the rest of the Busted fan-run websites out there?
Probably the fact that it s only me who owns it. With all the other big Busted sites, there are at least two people running them. Oh and the gallery s gonna be huge haha! But no, I don t think it s above the rest , its just your average fan site with information, pictures, news, and the odd original sparkle here and there.
9. What does your site do that others don't?
Well as I said, there are some bits of originality - I don t want the site to be the same as all the others. At the moment, I ve only got a few things that are different, for example the ad-lib (which is hilarious haha!), and I m also going to get a few exclusive downloads, cursors, browser skins etc, which I haven t seen on many sites. Ooh the intro page is a bit different as well.
10. How often is the site updated?
Most days. Whenever I find news really, and whenever I m not busy hehe. But yeah, I update almost daily.
11. Describe an average day in the life of your site.
HAHA a day in the life of Busted Online . Err, people just come and go I guess, hopefully stay more than 5 seconds and enjoy it haha.
12. How much work/time does it take to keep the site running?
Quite a bit. As well as the news, I like to keep the content updated a bit as well, and although it can be a bit of work, I don t mind because it s supporting Busted, aint it!
13. Do you enjoy running the site?
If I didn t, would I still be running it? Of course I do!
14. Do you think running a website is harder than it looks?
Yes, and some people don t seem to understand that. I get annoyed when people complain that I haven t done such and such on the site, it s like I may be online a lot, but believe it or not, I DO have an offline life as well you know! Silly people. One day they ll learn. *shakes fist*
15. Where can fans email to if they want more information on Busted Online?
People are free to email me at angeliciousdevil@hotmail.com if they have any questions :-)
16. What are your future hopes for the site?
Obviously I hope people will continue to enjoy visiting it. I also hope it ll get to be even bigger, and become one of the biggest online Busted resources.
