'One of the strange things about being famous is that everyone writes stories about your love life. One day I'm snogging Heidi Sugababes, the next it's Kym Marsh. I'm paranoid about kissing a celeb because of the paparazzi, so don't believe everything you read. I really don't go around pulling like some sort of Casanova. It might be easy for me to get a snog - in fact I can't believe how easy it is to meet girls - but I want the right girl. I'm definitely looking for a steady relationship and I want to find a girl I really like - someone I can talk to.

I like plenty of curves

I'll admit it - physically, I go for nice-lookers. I'm definitely a blondes man and I like plenty of curves. But most importantly, I like girls who are cool, confident and funny. I've been pretty chilled recently and have been trying a few different ladies out. I took an old friend to see The Lion King the other day. It's early days but there might be romance on the horizon. She's two years older than me. We got together at my birthday party.
It's funny, it doesn't seem long ago that I was in school, going through the same hassles as everyone else. I went to a public school in Uppingham, which was weird. It was difficult meeting girls after going to an all-boys' school. Radiohead's Thom Yorke said public school leaves you never having spoken to a girl before in your life. My social skills were stunted, but not as badly as Thom's! But it did mean that for a while, the only girls I fancied were the ones on my walls. I loved Cindy Crawford and Pamela Anderson and my dorm bedroom was covered in pictures of them.

My ex sent me hate mail

I was one of the first kids in my year to pull a girl. My first snog was when I was 12, with a girl I really liked. I'd wimped out on our first date, but on the second, I snogged her in front of her friends to prove I wasn't scared. I've had varied luck since then. I went out with one girl who was a real handful. When we split up, she went a bit weird, which was scary. She started sending me saucy pictures of herself! She would also send me hate mail sayign things like, 'My brother's going to kill you.' She was very pretty, but deranged. I haven't heard from her since making the band. Her screams, man! She used to shout at me if she didn't get her own way. I pulled one of her friends once and she just went mad. (Can't think why! - Ed)

We snogged by the pool

I've had some good experiences too. Once, I had a holiday romance with a friend of the family in Menorca. The first time we snogged was by the pool. My older brother was the same age as her - two years older than me - and he constantly wound me up about it when he found out.
I've also had snogs in exciting places - I snogged a girl from school in a train toilet. Hahaha! I hope my mum doesn't read this. I've snogged about 50 girls in my life. As for technique, I like it to be gentle, yet slightly aggressive. And no matter what anyone says, a first date is as good a time as any to have a snog!
I'm not perfect, though - just like our song, I've crashed and burned on a few occasions. Once, I went up to this girl who was younger than me. I was really nervous and asked her if she wanted to dance. She just looked around and went, 'Er.. I'm just going to get my friends,' and I never saw her again.
Anyway, that's my story. I'll just have to keep looking for the right girl to come along and I know she will one day. One thing's for sure - I'm going to have a lot of fun looking for her!'
