Hip to hip, cheek to cheek - just how do the BUSTED boys cope with living life in each other's pockets?

How much do the other guys not know about you?
James: They know everything about me! I'm very good at keeping other people's secrets, but I don't have any of my own.
Charlie: Honestly, there's nothing about me that would surprise the others.
Matt: I'm not really a very secretive guy, either. I think there's a lot about James that nobody knows! Charlie can be mysterious too.

But you must know more about each other than anyone else?
James: Yeah. For a start, I know where Matt lives and that's something a lot of people don't know!
Charlie: I suppose I know most personal things about the guys, but I'm missing quite a few factual details like GCSE results.
Matt: I knew my ex-girlfriend better, but she's a bird, y'know? I've lived with these dudes, though, so I know more about them than their own mothers do!

What's the best thing about you all being so buddy buddy?
Matt: Going round the world on a bus with your two best mates is amazing. And here, if you're bored, you can just pick up the phone and someone will be over.
James: When you're in a band you're forced to be close, cos they're the only people who understand what you're doing. I'd hate to be a solo artist and be out there alone. That would suck.

And the worst?
Charlie: Sometimes when we spend too much time together, it's important to have our own space. I always have a phone on me though, so it's very easy to talk to different people.
Matt: I've lived with James for nearly four years so I'm used to him. Occasionally, he sings too much in falsetto, which can grate. He was singing some Linkin Park for about an hour and a half the other day. He was funny at first, jumping around, but if you laugh at James he'll do something more.

There are probably zillions to choose from, but what's the nicest thing one of Busted has done for you?
Matt: Definitely not my birthday present! It was a big, fluffy bunny rabbit thing. It was ridiculous. They thought it was funny and they spent a lot of money on it, so I can't give it away. It's still at my ex-girlfriend's house.
Charlie: Matt bought me an awesome Sonic Youth T-shirt. It's a vintage shirt from a '95 tour in America. It's amazing and an original. You don't get that (bleep) much any more.
James: Charlie and Matt surprised me on my 21st birthday by showing up at my party when I thought they weren't able to come. McFly came as well and it was really good fun.

After spending so long together, have you developed team telepathy?
Charlie: I can tell when the others are annoyed, but I might not always know why. Sometimes we can read each other's faces, which is quite funny.
Matt: If three different girls walked in the room I could tell you which ones James and Charlie would like.

Spooky! What's the most intimate thing you've had to share?
James: We borrow each other's clothes when they're clean.
Matt: I've shared a bed with James many times. You might share a toothbrush with a girlfriend, but it's manky to do that with a mate. I wouldn't share anything with those two, cos they're both pretty skanky.

Too posh to wash, eh? Have the boys ever seen something you wish they hadn't?
Matt: James walked in on me air-guitaring once. I was singing to American Hi-Fi and really going for it, but he just joined in.

When there's a bit of argy-bargy, what's it usually about?
James: Matt always accuses me of snatching magazines off him. He'll stand there and throw his hands up in the air.
Charlie: James does steal magazines off people and sometimes he won't listen to what you're saying. Every time we ask him to do something, he forgets.
Matt: Charlie leaves a mess wherever he goes. He can't be arsed to pick stuff up.

Have you picked up any of each other's bad habits?
Charlie: Not really. But if I go out with Matt I always get hammered.
James: Matt is very affected by Charlie. He never used to use long words, but he's become very posh and he flutters his eyelids. I guess Charlie's sayings have rubbed off on me a little bit as well - words like rancid and putrid. I say the F word a lot more now cos of Matt.
Matt: Actually, the other day I had a listen to some footage MTV have been filming and couldn't believe how posh I sounded! I also air drum like Charlie now - I just bought a drum kit off him.

What would you miss most about each other if you were parted forever and ever?
Matt: I'd miss Charlie's iPod. I have got one, but can't be arsed to download all the (bleep). It takes ages. We both like the same music, but Charlie's into weirder stuff, too.
Charlie: The funny times, man! When we're on tour and out with all the crew.
James: Yeah, it would take a long time before I could do another band.

How well do Busted really know each other?

How many times does Charlie get up for a wee in the night?
Probably once. He'd get up, snorting - cos he's annoying like that. But even if James was busting he wouldn't get out of bed.

How does James take his tea?
James doesn't take tea.

If Matt was eating out would he prefer a starter or a pudding?
A starter.
Answer from Matt: A starter. I'm not a pudding man.

Does James read when he's on the toilet?
Probably.. if he did read.
Answer from James: I don't really read.

He wears a different one every time. I wear Blue Jeans.

Hmm, Charlie's favourite bands are the Deftones, Guided By Voices and Biffy Clyro.
