When the Busted boys have some downtime, they go down - deep! tvhits! listens in..
Missing mates!
Charlie: 'We had a day off recently and I took my friends out for a meal in Leicester. I used to see them all the time at boarding school. They're still doing their A-levels actually. I miss them a lot.'
Matt: 'I saw mine for the first time in ages too. I only got to spend a couple of hours with them cos of work! I became a godfather last month to a friend's baby - but I was in Germany when they had the christening. Luckily, someone else did my speech for me but I felt so bad.'
Mama's boys!
Matt: 'In ever phone call to my mum I end up saying, 'I love you!' My mum means a lot to me and I love my little sister, Amanda, to death. She's 15 and she's such an inspiration to me - Itell her I love her all the time!'
Charlie: 'I can talk to my two brothers about anything. Ed's 21 and Will's 22. Will's signed with a rock band - so it's cool having him in the same industry.'
Breaking point!
James: 'I think I control my temper pretty well. Matt and Charlie have never heard me shout! Some things wind me up but I often keep feelings inside.'
Matt: 'Rude people annoy me! I can control my temper up to a certain point but if someone's plain rude, it'll spark me off!'
Charlie: 'Sometimes I get so annoyed I punch a window to get out my aggression! Being bored gets me grumpy and I also get annoyed when I'm forced into doing something I don't want to do.'
Crying times!
Matt: 'I can't remember the last time I cried! It was probably when I watched Bambi on video. Ha ha! I broke up with an ex-girlfriend before I joined Busted and that was hard. We went out for about seven months and it was really intense.
Charlie: 'I remember feeling really sick and upset when I broke up with my ex. I dreamed for four nights in a row about getting back together with her!'
James: 'I try not to let myself get too attached to girls cos then you can't get hurt. There was one girl who said no to me and I felt like rubbish for a week!'
Lonely lads!
Charlie: 'You can get lonely in this job. You never get the feeling you have with your mates when you're in this business.'
James: 'Yeah, but it'd be so much worse if you were a solo singer! When you're in a hotel in Germany or Austria, in the middle of the mountains and you've got loadsa time to kill, it can really get lonely.'
Matt: 'I used to feel lonely all the time when What I Go To School For first came out. But then I met people and realised I could work and have a life as well. I love going out and socialising now!'
Fighting friends!
Matt: 'Me and my mate Fog had a proper punch-up in my bedroom when we were about 14. He hit me so hard he scarred me for life! The argument was really stupid as well. One of us cheated on PlayStation, so we started fighting. We're great mates though. In fact, I'm a lot more chilled out now and wouldn't fight with my mates again.'
James: 'Luckily, I've never fallen out with anyone properly! If I have an argument with someone I'd crack a joke and we'll start laughing again. Arguments never last for long.'
Charlie: 'I've never had a major fall-out either. It isn't worth it.'
Dearly departed..
James: 'Four people in my family have recently died. I feel awful cos I can't go to their funerals. We do get time off but they're a horrible place to be.'
Charlie: 'My friend died last year - he was only 17. I sang Tears In Heaven at his funeral an I didn't think I'd be able to sing.
Matt: 'My grandad died last year. He was such a cool person and sadly he didn't live to see me release a single. He'd be so proud of me though. My mum's dad also died when I was 13. I could talk to him about anything. In fact, he taught me a lot of the morals I have today.'
Losing touch!
James: 'I'd like to see my old careers advisor to tell her I've made it. I said that I wanted to be a singer and she said,' That's really good but you need to have something else in mind.'
Charlie: 'I had three good friends in my old school who I don't see any more. We used to dream about being in a band.'
Matt: 'My family used to own a caravan in a caravan park and there was a girl who worked there called Little Leanne. I haven't seen her for four years - so if you're out there, Little Leanne, get in touch!'
Future plans..
Matt: 'It's hard to plan ahead cos we don't have normal nine-to-five jobs. But I definitely want kids one day. I think I'll make a good dad and I wanna be pretty young when I have them - but not just yet! I'd like a boy and I'd name him Jack. Then I could call him Jack the lad. Geddit?!'
James: 'I think I'll be a wicked dad! I'd love to have loadsa kids - I could start a band like the Jackson 5. Ha! I don't want to be an older dad, so I reckon it'll happen in my 20s. It'd be ideal if it happened before I was 25.'
Charlie: 'Me too! I'd like a boy and a girl. And I can definitely se myself having a church wedding with a lovely marquee reception!'
